Michael is a general practitioner with an interest in licensing schemes (especially firearms and solid waste haulers), civil rights, personal injury and antitrust matters.

While working for the Westchester County Attorney's Office he assisted the Board of Plumbing Examiners amend their rules to require close supervision of apprentices. The new rule was upheld at both the trial and appellate court levels.

Recently, Michael successfully defended a small business owner against Westchester County's attempt to illegally enforce an ill conceived licensing scheme. In doing so, Michael saved his client hundreds of dollars in annual licensing fees and prevented unwarranted governmental intrusion into his business.
